Director of Secondary Education

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following administrative position for the  school year:

A current Oregon Professional Administrator License or Continuing Administrator License is required.

• Responsible to the Superintendent and works under his direction.
• Member of the Superintendent’s Administrative Team.
• Directs the District’s instructional programs at the secondary level and provides leadership in the ongoing development and improvement of secondary curriculum in the District.
• Assists in the planning, organization and evaluation of the District’s secondary support systems including guidance, attendance and pupil records.
• Directs the accountability and assessment efforts of the District’s 6-12 programs.
• Works collaboratively with other administrators to develop processes and products that successfully support educational programs.

• Knowledge of Oregon Curriculum Standards in grades 6-12.
• Successful teaching experience at elementary and/or secondary level preferred.
• Successful experience as a principal or in a district-level administrative position.
• Knowledge of and experience with AVID preferred.
• Experience in designing, coordinating, and implementing training/professional development programs.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

Outstanding leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills, collaborative leadership style, proven track record of being a team player who can work with fellow administrators, staff, students, and parents.
