Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will support the provider by performing both administrative tasks and patient care. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high patient satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Medical Assistant for the designated provider(s).
  • Assist providers with their inbox and manage prescription refills and faxes.
  • Assist in rooming patients, ensuring familiarity with the rooming process and intake procedures.
  • Prepare, stock, clean, and maintain examination and treatment rooms and equipment.
  • Prepare patient charts, including incorporation of outside lab results and visit notes from other providers, and ensure lab reports and diagnostic test results are collected.
  • Contribute to patient chart documentation.
  • Execute all duties and responsibilities within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems in accordance with standardized protocols.
  • Deliver patient education, accompany patients to the front office for scheduling.
  • Handle callbacks and respond to patient portal tasks and inquiries promptly.
  • Crosstrain in various clinic areas, including laboratory, phlebotomy and front desk duties as needed and able.
  • Attend and complete department and clinical meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Adhere to and enforce all HIPAA and OSHA compliance laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to One Peak Medical's policies and procedures, as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required in support of One Peak Medical.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to meet business needs, potentially traveling to other clinics.
  • May be required to drive personal vehicle. Please refer to company policy for details.
