Job Title
Otolaryngology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Job SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join an Otolaryngology (ENT) practice. This provider will deliver comprehensive care to patients with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities and may include inpatient consults and procedural support depending on practice needs.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with ENT conditions, including sinus disease, hearing disorders, voice and swallowing issues, infections, and head and neck conditions.
- Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice, such as nasal endoscopy, cerumen removal, laryngoscopy assistance, and minor procedures.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including audiograms, imaging, and laboratory tests.
- Assist physicians in surgical and procedural care as needed, including preoperative and postoperative management.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate care with audiology, speech therapy, primary care, and other specialists.
- Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency through continuing education.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active state license and DEA registration (or eligibility).
- Previous experience in Otolaryngology or surgical subspecialty preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical assessment, procedural, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient‑centered care skills.
- Primarily outpatient clinic setting; inpatient or surgical coverage may be required.
- Standard clinic hours with potential call or extended hours based on practice needs.
- Collaborative, team‑based work environment.
Must maintain state certification and/or licensure.
