Position SummaryThe Building Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing convenience store (C-store) facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and compliant with regulations. Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, this role performs a wide range of tasks including low‑level electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmithing, drywall, roofing, and asphalt repairs. The technician receives work orders through the Ecotrack Facilities Management platform and responds promptly, prioritizing repairs across multiple sites.
Frequent travel to inspect buildings and grounds, address maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with ADA and federal safety standards is required.
- Maintain and repair equipment inside the C‑store and address any building issues.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, locksmithing, and drywall work to maintain the condition of the C‑store.
- Receive work orders from the Fuel Dispatchers on the Ecotrack Facilities Management platform and complete required maintenance in a timely manner.
- Conduct roof work and repairs.
- Perform asphalt repairs at the parking lot.
- Travel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings, and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs.
- Ensure facilities and buildings comply with ADA and other federal safety regulations.
- Building technician experience.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of apprenticeship programs preferred.
- Valid driver’s license – Commercial driver’s license preferred; must have a clear driving record of at least 2 years.
- Understanding of building and construction.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Strong thinking and reasoning skills.
- Ability to think analytically.
- Math knowledge.
- Computer skills and ability to use main software packages.
- Familiarity with Ecotrack Facilities Management software.
- Regular requirement to talk or hear.
- Often use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift heavy items or equipment.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Full‑time, 5 days per week – 8 hour shifts + on‑call.
- Remote work with travel required.
- Overtime as needed.
