Position: Mobile Equipment Maintenance Technician (Diesel Mechanic)

Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Inspects, maintainsheli makes repairs to Energy Solutions vehicles andOTES and mobile heavy equipment, performing welding, lubrication, fueling, preventive maintenance and field repairs as assigned.
  • Identifies all mechanical components in need of repair to prevent breakdowns and recommends improvements as appropriate.
  • Operates and inspects vehicles and other mobile equipment to identify defects, malfunctions and failures. Repairs and replaces damaged and worn parts while maintaining compliance with zau company policies and safety procedures.
  • Reports defects and damages to supervision.
  • Tests and makes adjustments to mechanical components and equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.
  • Uses sophisticated tools (electrical,’aur hydraulic, and engine testing equipment; welding torches; jacks; hoists and hand tools) and computer systems for diagnostics.
  • Fuels and lubricates equipment and performs preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Documents repairs and refurbishments.
  • Communicates with the supervisor/foreman regarding parts and repair orders.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains lockout/tagout logs.
  • Is not responsible for supervising other workers at this level.

  • Can work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Completes process/facility training as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements /Skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team‑player attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to repair and maintain vehicles and material handling and heavy equipment (over‑the‑road trucks, cement mixers, loaders, dozers and excavators).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all types of equipment maintenance and repairs (diesel/gas and propane engine overhauls, transmission repairs and hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and air‑conditioning system and component repairs).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and environments with exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, chemicals and mechanical and electrical hazards.
  • Ability to perform maintenance duties at elevated heights.
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; handle, grip, and reach above or below shoulder.
  • Ability to use hands and feet to accomplish tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/stoop, crouch, squat/kneel, crawl, twist at the waist and balance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location.
  • Ability to perceive depth and adjust focus.
  • Ability to seeKNOWN close and distance, basic colors/shades, peripheral vision; and basic hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to work inside an office, outside, and in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to work with machinery vibration, power tools, and slippery/uneven walking surfaces; operate equipment/machinery and work near moving parts.
  • Ability to work with others, interact with the public, operate a motor vehicle, and interact with the public.
  • Basic math, and computer skills; mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read small text,STAT blueprints, documents, procedures, instrument readouts and wiring diagrams; manipulate packages.
  • Ability to wear protective equipment such as goggles, ear plugs, hard hat, gloves, and steel toe boots with or without shank.
Minimum Education , Experience দ্ব Certification Requirements Education
  • High School diploma or GED.
Certifications
  • Certification as a diesel mechanic or light vehicle mechanic.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience maintenance and repair of mobile material handling and heavy equipment (diesel engine overhauls, transmission repairs, hydraulic systems and electrical and mechanical equipment).
Preferred Experience
  • None.
