Overview
This role is for an ICT Engineer to join a client in Grapevine, TX. This is a full-time, direct hire position. The focus is on developing, executing, and maintaining in-circuit testing processes to ensure the functionality and quality of PCB assemblies. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of ATE systems, PCB design, test automation, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
Base pay range$68,000.00/yr - $73,000.00/yr

- Develop and implement ICT programs to validate PCB assembly performance.
- Design and customize test fixtures for prototypes and production units.
- Work with ATE platforms including TRI, Teradyne, Keysight (Agilent), or SPEA.
- Analyze test failures and troubleshoot down to the component level (resistors, ICs, capacitors, etc.).
- Resolve equipment and setup issues to ensure test accuracy and uptime.
- Work with hardware and design engineers to improve PCB testability.
- Provide feedback on DFT (Design for Testability) and manufacturability.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare defect reports and test coverage data to support continuous improvement.
- Calibrate, maintain, and upgrade ICT systems and test stations.
- Manage software/hardware updates and ensure system reliability.
- Drive initiatives to improve test coverage and reduce cycle time.
- Develop test automation scripts and integrate with production workflows.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards such as IPC-A-610 and ISO.
- Verify compliance with BOMs, schematics, and QA processes.
- Create detailed test documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Train technicians and operators on ICT equipment and test practices.
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience with ICT systems, PCB testing, and ATE environments.
- Associate degrees with significant hands-on experience will be considered.
- Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of electronics, PCB layout, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with schematics, Gerber files, and tools like Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Hands-on experience with test tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Programming experience in C, Python, LabVIEW, or vendor-specific test languages.
- Knowledge of boundary scan (JTAG), test fixture design, and signal integrity.
- Familiarity with IPC standards and statistical quality tools (e.g., Six Sigma).
- TRI, Teradyne, Keysight (Agilent), SPEA, Gen Rad test systems.
- PCB layout and design tools.
- Scripting for test automation and process improvement.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
- Vendor-specific ICT training (e.g., Teradyne, Keysight)
