Drafting Technician

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Drafting Technician to join our team at Blew & Associates, P.A. In this role, you will prepare accurate and precise technical drawings for various engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with surveyor project managers, quality control managers, and other team members to ensure that project requirements are met and designs are executed effectively.

Compensation: $20 / hour

$32,000.00/yr - $52,000.00/yr

• Convert rough sketches, calculations, and specifications into detailed technical drawings
• Prepare plans, layouts, and detailed drawings for projects
• Collaborate with surveying professionals to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of designs
• Make necessary adjustments to drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all drawings
• Maintain organized records and documentation of all drawings and revisions
• Stay updated on the latest drafting and design software and techniques
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver drawings within specified deadlines

• Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of surveying principles
• Experience in land surveying or civil engineering industry is a plus
