  • Oversee terrestrial, mobile, and other LiDAR data processing workflows.
  • Establish production schedules, assign resources, monitor progress, and meet project deadlines.
  • Lead point-cloud registration, georeferencing, classification, feature extraction, and quality assurance activities.
  • Oversee the preparation of deliverables including registered point clouds, digital terrain models, surface models, CAD files, and other geospatial products.
  • Develop and maintain production standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
Build and Develop the Team
  • Supervise, train, and mentor LiDAR processing technicians and geospatial specialists.
  • Evaluate staffing needs and assist with recruiting and team development.
  • Establish performance expectations and promote accountability for quality, productivity, and deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve production efficiency.
  • Foster collaboration between field survey crews, engineers, and geospatial production personnel.
Manage Technical Quality and Project Delivery
  • Serve as the technical lead for complex LiDAR processing assignments.
  • Troubleshoot registration, alignment, classification, and data quality issues.
  • Coordinate with survey field crews to establish data collection requirements and ensure complete, accurate datasets.
  • Develop production estimates, processing budgets, and realistic project schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, and production efficiency.
  • Support project managers with technical scopes, proposals, and client deliverables.
  • Evaluate emerging geospatial technologies and recommend improvements to our production capabilities.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in LiDAR, geospatial data processing, reality capture, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading geospatial production teams or managing complex LiDAR processing projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of point-cloud registration, georeferencing, classification, and quality control.
  • Experience processing terrestrial and mobile LiDAR datasets.
  • Proficiency with one or more industry-standard platforms such as:

  • Understanding of survey control, coordinate systems, datums, and geospatial accuracy requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, production budgets, staffing, and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing LiDAR production for airports, transportation corridors, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with mobile mapping systems and SLAM-based scanning technology.
  • Experience with automated feature extraction, scripting, or workflow development.
  • Experience integrating point-cloud data into CAD, BIM, GIS, and engineering design environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in geomatics, surveying, geospatial science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
