The
** Income Tax Supervisor
** will be responsible for preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns, supporting statements, and related documentation for Game Stop and affiliated entities. This role will lead the annual federal income tax return process from preparation through filing, including estimated tax calculations and payments. The Income Tax Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Head of Tax and provide light leadership to staff or external partners as needed.

This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
** Responsibilities
* ** Prepare federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns, including estimates, extensions, and supporting schedules.
* Maintain complete documentation and work papers for all filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
* Prepare and update annual federal income tax return information packages.
* Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments.
* Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and reconciliations.
* Maintain fixed asset records for federal tax depreciation purposes.
* Support responses to federal and state income tax audits and information requests.
* Conduct research on federal and state income tax issues and summarize findings.
* Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance automation using One Source.
** Required Skills and Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 4+ years of corporate income tax experience with a strong focus on federal & state return preparation and supporting documentation.
* Proficiency with One Source tax compliance software or equivalent.
* Solid understanding of federal and state income tax regulations.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
** Preferred Skills and Experience
*** CPA, MBA, or MS in Taxation preferred but not required.
* Experience in retail or large corporate environments.
* Familiarity with Hyperion or similar financial systems.
* Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
