Position Overview
Aircraft Parts Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the efficient and effective distribution of aircraft parts in a warehouse environment that adheres to AS9120 and ASA
100 quality standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of aviation regulations, inventory management, and quality management systems. The manager will lead the warehouse team and ensure all warehouse operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the aircraft parts distribution warehouse, including inventory control, receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure compliance with AS9120 and ASA
100 quality standards. - Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring that they are working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of the warehouse staff.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely completion of inventory counts.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely order processing and fulfillment.
- Coordinate with quality control personnel to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards before they are shipped.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and on-time delivery.
- Take corrective action as needed to improve warehouse performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all administrative duties are completed accurately and on time, including record‑keeping, reporting, and budgeting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, including AS9120 and ASA
100 quality standards. - Proficient in Office 365 and warehouse management software.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
