Patient Population- Stroke
- Post‑operative surgery (brain, neck, back)
- Seizure
- Altered mental status
- Post‑thrombectomy
- Mild TBI
- Post‑craniotomy
- Degenerative neurological disorders
- Alcohol withdrawal
- Patient ratios: 1:3‑5
- Number of beds: 32
- Department specifics:
Active Unit‑Based Council, self‑scheduling, teamwork culture, leadership promotes growth and engagement - Shift: Full time nights (7 pm‑7 am)
- Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years PCU experience

Job SummaryLicensed RN coordinates patient care delivery using the BSWH nursing practice model. The RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and evaluates patient responses, promoting safe transitions and preventing complications. Delegation of interventions follows the Texas Nursing Practice Act and the team’s competencies. RN responsibilities extend to 24/7 staffing in inpatient and outpatient departments, including GI Lab, Pain Management, Dialysis, Infusion Centers, and IV Services.

- Knowledge and understanding of nursing and patient care standards.

- General computer skills (Microsoft Office, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, email).
