The Manager of Clinical Operations accepts responsibility for all department functions in support of the mission, vision, and values of the facility. You will manage the delivery of administrative support via Nursing Administrative (House) Supervisors, Float Pool, and Hospitalist coordinator, and may function in any role in the Nursing Office Department when needed. You will manage administrative supervisors, staffing coordinators, and administrative patient‑flow supervisors.
Responsibilities include managing adult inpatient float pool staff, hospitalist coordinator, patient flow and throughput, systems (Agile Trac, Navicare, ED Master View), general operations of clinical care regarding staffing, emergency procedures, customer service, service recovery, and metrics such as MOTs and codes. You will integrate collaborative practice with all members of the healthcare team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred (enrollment within first year of hire required).
- 2 to 5 years of experience in management or related role, including personnel management, payroll, staff scheduling, contractor recruiting, physician relations and supervisory positions.
- High proficiency with computer technology (Excel, Access, bed management and resource scheduling applications).
- Current RN license in the State of Texas required.
- AHA or ARC ACLS, BLS required.
