Technician – LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas

At LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas, we’re looking for a multi‑talented Technician to help us build, fix, and maintain the fun! 🎉 This isn’t your typical maintenance gig — from rides to lights, LEGO models to AV systems — you’ll help keep the entire attraction safe, functional, and full of wonder!

Qualifications & Experience What You’ll Do

As a Technician, you’re the go‑to hero for daily operations and emergency fixes
. You’ll work across all technical systems to ensure everything is running at peak performance, so our guests experience nothing but awesome.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain & repair equipment: HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and more 🌡️🔌🚿
• Troubleshoot themed attractions to reduce downtime and enhance guest experiences 🎠🧱
• Handle custodial repairs, painting, AV maintenance, exhibit setups & teardowns 🎨🎧
• Perform preventative maintenance on systems, rides, and show elements 🗂️🛠️
• Install/repair light bulbs, projector lamps, data cables, and tech hardware 💡💻
• Safely operate power tools, follow OSHA standards, and wear appropriate PPE 🦺⚠️
• Monitor building systems and report or correct any fire/safety hazards 🚨🔥
• Support multiple departments — because teamwork makes the LEGO dream work! 💪

What Makes You a Great Fit

• High School Diploma or GED required 🎓
• 2+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in attractions, theme parks, facilities, or similar 🔩
• Familiar with animation, hydraulics, pneumatics, AV, lighting, electronics, and basic carpentry 🛠️🔊🔍
• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, guest‑centric environment 🏃♂️💨
• Team player with a can‑do attitude and a love for family fun and creativity 🤹♀️🧒🎈

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Awesome!)

• Experience with DMX lighting, network cabling, AV systems, or low voltage wiring 🌈🧠
• Ability to troubleshoot PC software/hardware and automation systems 🤖🧰
• OSHA certification or safety training credentials 🧯📋

Work Schedule & Physical Expectations

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings 🕒🌙
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and work at heights of 20+ feet 🪜🏋️♂️
• Will be exposed to varying temps, loud environments, and hands‑on tools ⚙️🎧🌡️
• Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed 🌞🌧️
