Game Stop is seeking a Lead Mobile App Engineer to drive the development of innovative mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms. This role combines hands‑on engineering, technical leadership, and mentorship while partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused experiences.
This role is onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
What You’ll Do- Lead the development and delivery of mobile applications and features supporting Game Stop's Power Packs ecosystem.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions using React Native, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to mobile architecture and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
- Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Use data and customer feedback to influence product enhancements and prioritization.
- Support continuous improvement across development processes and engineering practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years developing mobile applications with React Native and/or native mobile technologies (Swift, Kotlin).
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, APIs, testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
- Experience in ecommerce, loyalty, rewards, membership, or subscription products preferred.
