Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team.

The position requires working every other weekend.

Travelers will need to work two of the three major holidays:
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.Scheduling will be managed by unit managers.

The facility has 21 beds in the Emergency Department.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.Shift starts at 6:45 AM with bedside reporting.

Self-scheduling is utilized, but not finalized until managerial approval.

Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, and trauma.

There is a hospitalist or intensivist present in-house.

The hospital provides 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services.

Orientation on the floor includes 1-2 days with a preceptor.

Travelers can access their schedules online and are encouraged to make themselves available for extra shifts.

The dress code includes navy scrubs, with acceptable under shirt colors being navy, white, or black.

Scrub jackets are optional, but must also be navy.

The unit does not handle ventilators but does provide telemetry services.

There may be nurse aides available as staffing dictates.

Cancellations may occur, up to 4 shifts for assignments over 13 weeks.

Charting is conducted using Cerner.
