This is a hands-on, transactional finance role ideally suited to an experienced purchase ledger professional who can quickly integrate into the team and manage day-to-day accounts payable duties with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently. Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies. Reconciling supplier statements and investigating outstanding items. Dealing with supplier queries and maintaining positive supplier relationships. Processing credit notes and allocating payments. Assisting with supplier payment runs. Maintaining accurate supplier account records. Ensuring invoices are authorised and processed within agreed timescales. Supporting month-end purchase ledger activities.
Maintaining accurate finance records and documentation. Person Specification To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable or similar finance position. Strong invoice processing and supplier reconciliation experience. Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Good organisational and time management skills. Confidence dealing with suppliers and resolving queries. The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Experience using finance or accounting software packages. Good Microsoft Excel skills.
Desirable Experience Experience using Sage accounting software. Experience working within a busy accounts payable environment. Exposure to high-volume invoice processing. Experience supporting payment runs and month-end procedures. What's on Offer? £13.00 - £15.00 per hour DOE. Flexible working hours across 21 hours per week. Minimum 6-week temporary assignment with potential for extension. Supportive finance team. Immediate start available.
