Civils Assistant
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 P/A
Location: UK-wide - Gravesend (Working away required)
Hours: Monday Friday / 5am / 6am starts on a 50-hour contract.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Civil Assistant to support the Civil Supervisor and wider site team in delivering civil engineering works across infrastructure and utilities projects. This is a hands-on, site-based role involving a variety of groundworks activities and requires flexibility to work away from home.

We value your expertise, and in return, we offer a competitive salary of up to £32,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Civil Supervisor with day-to-day site activities
• Carry out civil works including trenching, ducting, back filling, and reinstatement
• Support safe working practices in line with RAMS and site instructions
• Prepare work areas, materials, and tools as required
• Operate plant and equipment where trained and authorised
• Maintain good housekeeping standards on site

Essential Qualification & Requirements:

• CSCS card (minimum requirement)

• NRSWA (Street Works) preferred / essential depending on role level

• NPORS certification for relevant plant and machinery (or willingness to obtain)

• NVQ Level 2 in Groundworks (or working towards)

• Previous experience in groundworks, civils, or utilities environments

• Good understanding of health & safety on construction sites

• Full UK driving licence

• Willingness to work away from home (essential)
