A highly regarded all-through special school for ages 4-19, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The school offers a nurturing environment with a strong multidisciplinary team.
About the RoleYou will lead a class team to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across EYFS to Post-16, integrating therapy advice and communication strategies. The role focuses on functional communication, life skills, and accredited pathways.
Responsibilities- Create engaging, personalised learning plans aligned with EHCP targets
- Foster independence and positive behaviour using structured approaches
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and families
- Assess and track progress effectively
- QTS/QTLS with proven SEN teaching experience
- Knowledge of AAC, sensory integration, and structured teaching (e.g., TEACCH)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
