Overview

If you are a highly effective teacher with an exceptional passion for Design and Technology, you are an excellent classroom practitioner who has a passion to support others and you have the drive to lead a curriculum team that can build curiosity and creativity – we want to hear from you! We are seeking a creative and caring practitioner to lead our passionate team.

We have excellent resources and a forward‑thinking ethos, with the aim for all students to achieve the highest standards. This is delivered from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5.

This is an exciting time for the subject team, with funding and planning permission approved for a new multi‑million‑pound teaching block that includes dedicated Design Technology and Food Technology facilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the Leadership Team on shaping the internal design of this new space.

• Ability to set high expectations for both students and staff.
• Capacity to work collaboratively and lead a team.
• Secure knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and pedagogy.
• Innovatively move the team forward and passion for ‘going beyond’ in developing staff and wider school improvement priorities.

This position has a start date of September 2026 or sooner with a salary of M1‑UPS3 (£32,916 – £51,048) Plus TLR 1b £12,516, dependent on experience.

All positions that involve working with children are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
