We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our specialist provision in Gravesend
, supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as associated learning difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely wants to empower young people to achieve their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP requirements.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced previous barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with a strong support team—including behaviour mentors, teaching assistants, and therapy staff—to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies that promote resilience, self-confidence, and emotional regulation.
  • Track progress, set personalised targets, and celebrate every success—no matter how big or small.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and develop pupils’ social and communication skills through structured routines and restorative approaches.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision.
  • Compassionate, calm, and resilient, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
  • Creative in your teaching approach and confident differentiating learning to meet diverse needs.
  • Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation, and relationship-focused teaching strategies.
  • An excellent communicator who thrives within a collaborative team.
  • Motivated to help pupils re-engage with learning and develop essential life skills.
