Subject Leader - Drama

Job Title: Subject Lead Drama (Mat Cover)

Location: Gravesend

Start Date: November 2026

Salary: £168 - £232 per day + TLR

The school is looking to appoint a full‑time Subject Lead Drama on a long‑term maternity cover contract from November 2026, with the role expected to continue until July 2027. The successful candidate will teach drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, and will take responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and delivering engaging lessons while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning throughout the department.

• QTS with a Drama specialism at degree level
• Experience teaching Drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
• Previous experience leading or supporting within a Drama department
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• A passion for delivering engaging and creative Drama lessons
• Strong organisational and communication skills

• CPD courses and certificates as part of the My‑Progression channel
• Pay in line with MPS + TLR
