Learning Support Assistant - SEN School
Start Date:
September
Full-Time | Term-Time Only
£95 - £120 per day (depending on experience)
About the RoleAs an LSA, you will support students aged 4-18 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning and ensure every child is supported to reach their full potential - both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
- Implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
- Support students with communication, regulation, and engagement
- Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents
- Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school setting)
- Is patient, resilient, and compassionate
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
