Aboutthe RoleAs an SENPrimary Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Plan engaging and personalised learning experiences that reflect individual strengths and needs.
- Support pupils to make excellent progress academically, socially and emotionally.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
- Implement communication strategies, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), to ensure all pupils can access learning.
- Monitor, assess and track progress, contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and targets.
- Create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment where pupils can develop confidence and independence.
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified teacher with experience of teaching primary-aged pupils.
- Has a strong understanding of SEND, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated complex needs.
- Can adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is committed to inclusive education and raising aspirations for every pupil.
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
