Senior Managment Accountant Permanent Hybrid Summary An opportunity to join one of the UK's largest grant-making charities as a Senior Management Accountant, playing a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, business partnering, and financial control across the organisation. This role would suit a qualified accountant with strong management accounting expertise, advanced Excel skills, and experience working closely with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

The Role This Senior Management Accountant position sits within the Finance Department and is responsible for delivering high-quality financial information, reporting, budgeting and analysis to support organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reporting Leading budgeting and financial planning processes Providing business partnering support to budget holders and project teams Managing financial controls, reconciliations and compliance requirements Supporting audits, systems improvements and finance process development Main Duties As the Senior Management Accountant, you will:
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial commentary Lead month-end activities including journals, reconciliations and ledger reviews Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and cashflow projections Support year-end accounts preparation and external audit requirements Provide financial insight and guidance to stakeholders across the organisation The Successful Candidate The successful candidate will have: A qualified accountant (full member of ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) Proven management accounting experience within a UK organisation Experience producing budgets, forecasts and management reports to tight deadlines Strong Excel and financial systems skills Previous supervisory or line management experience Desirable experience includes working within the charity sector and exposure to Salesforce or similar CRM and finance systems.
