On-site Job Type: Full-time Reed Accountancy Norwich are delighted to be supporting a well renowned client of ours to recruit for a Finance Assistant to manage their purchase ledger activities and support the wider finance needs of the business. This role is integral to maintaining the companies reputation for respect, integrity, and excellent service. Day-to-day of the role:
Process high volumes of invoices from start to finish, ensuring they are matched to delivery notes/purchase orders, price checked, and authorised by the management team. Input and file invoices using the automated system. Assist with the month-end process by providing relevant information to the Finance Supervisor/Finance Manager. Handle payment runs, including sending remits and reconciling statements. Liaise with suppliers on queries, monitor pricing, and assess for risk and sustainability.
Serve as the main point of contact for all payment issues, building strong relationships with suppliers and providing excellent service to both external customers and internal stakeholders. Conduct basic data analysis and report running, and contribute to the continuous development of the role and systems. Provide cover for colleagues during absences and work independently to meet deadlines. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 GCSEs including passes in Mathematics and English. Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role. Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel. Continuous learning through online help, training courses, and team knowledge sharing is expected. Methodical, organised, and accurate work approach. Self-motivated with a conscientious work ethic. Ability to work as part of a team and understand the broader impact of the role within the company.
