ASB Officer

Avalon Housing are working in partnership with a local authority in their acquisition of a new ASB Officer for the Council.

We are looking for an ASB Officer who will work in a community of about 5,000 units on a full‑time basis. It’s a hybrid post, working 1‑2 days from home, with a caseload in the region of 25‑30.

• Be the go‑to person in the council for all ASB issues, taking on a caseload and dealing with everything from neighbour disputes to serious breaches such as harassment, violence, and drug‑related activity
• Prepare witness statements, gather evidence, and work with legal teams to progress cases through court
• Support victims and witnesses throughout the process, ensuring they feel safe and supported
• Conduct interviews, home visits, and site inspections as part of investigations
• Work closely with the police, local authorities, and other partners to take joint action where necessary
• Take swift enforcement action, including issuing warnings, injunctions, and possession proceedings

• Circa £34,000 per annum

• Experience as an ASB Officer or a Housing Officer
• A willingness to upskill and become the main point of focus on all things community safety
