Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location:
Gravesend Area – 3 Bed EBD Children’s Home
Salary:
Up to £60,000 per year (plus bonus).
Schedule:
Full time.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager who can deliver the highest quality care for children and young people with Learning Disabilities and EBD, and inspire and develop a skilled staff team through excellent leadership and management qualities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership for the home, including registering as the manager with Ofsted.
- Enable high‑quality service delivery that meets the needs of children and families.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Manage the delegated budget and ensure effective and efficient expenditure.
- Recruit, train and support staff to deliver innovative, responsive, high‑quality person‑centred services.
- Ensure systems and processes are in place to maintain legal and statutory records in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Complete quality self‑assessment reports within timescales and to a high professional standard.
- Use performance data and evidence‑based outcome measures to lead and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and be accountable for the achievement of positive outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
- Level 5 NVQ in Leadership and Management or equivalent, or willingness to progress towards this.
- Outstanding leadership qualities derived from excellent personal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of OFSTED requirements and safeguarding practices.
- Previous experience managing residential children’s homes as Registered Manager.
- A positive, approachable manner and ambition for children, young people and families.
- Ability to meet the requirements for registration with Ofsted.
