Job SummaryAs a Hygiene Team Leader and Prep World, you will be responsible for overseeing and carrying out all aspects of cleaning and sanitation across the food manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring that production areas, equipment, and machinery are cleaned to the highest food hygiene standards within a busy fresh-cut fruit factory environment.
Main Duties- Leading the Hygiene Team
- Ensuring good housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the plant and reporting all non-conformances to the Hygiene Manager/Supervisor
- Monitoring and reporting the corrective actions and preventing re-occurrences.
- Ensure that all cleaning and sanitation processes are completed in full and hygiene standards for a given area are maintained during the production shift.
- Use of cleaning chemicals, pressure washers and pressure water hoses.
- Maintain stocks of PPE and disposables and ensure availability throughout the production shift.
- Operate, maintain, and monitor cleaning and tray wash machinery and equipment, including chemical and maintenance checks, escalating any issues to a Hygiene Supervisor or Manager immediately when required
- Ensure GMP and GHP standards are effectively monitored and maintained in the area at all times.
- Ensure that the hygiene team work safely within the COSSH guidelines.
- Training new staff in hygiene all procedures and ensure training records and other training documents are kept up to date.
- Delegating tasks fairly to all the team members and assisting them to complete in a timely manner.
- Ensuring systems and files are in place and maintained, along with customer requirements for hygiene practices at site, to satisfy all audit.
- Complete safety checks and start-up checks, following required processes and documentation requirements, and take necessary action where deficiencies or non-conformances are found.
- Ensure that breaks and absences are coordinated and covered effectively.
- Maintaining excellent communication throughout the department in order to ensure the hygiene plans are adhered.
- Ensure the highest food safety and hygiene standards are embedded throughout the team.
- Responsible for completing the hygiene control sheets/schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a production environment.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
- The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Able to resolve routine problems using well defined procedures, identify and respond to trends.
- Self‑motivated and a can do attitude is a must
- Good IT Skills / Knowledge.

- Sunday to Wednesday
- 06:00 - 18:00
Competitive hourly pay starting at £13.88, increasing to £14.40 at Level 2 and up to £15.89 at Level 3, depending on experience, with weekly pay.
