Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer - Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), your primary role is to employ extensive knowledge of production techniques to develop and document manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies yielding reliable high‑quality assemblies at the lowest possible cost.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement manufacturing process technologies, methods, and techniques to promote building reliable, high‑quality assemblies at lowest cost.
- Develop and maintain product assembly procedures for PCBA & cable assemblies.
- Consult new product development teams regarding manufacturing capabilities, techniques, and DFMA issues.
- Provide professional, organized and quantifiable feedback to customers.
- Assist in preparation of new product cost estimates including applicable NRE.
- Identify, specify, validate, document, implement, and train on new equipment and processes.
- Evaluate and onboard manufacturing equipment.
- Design production equipment and fixtures to aid assembly while improving operator safety, reducing labor, and improving quality.
- Provide technical oversight and training in PCBA manufacturing techniques.
- Maintain safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, changeovers, and costs.
- Investigate and diagnose product manufacturing issues and respond to internal and external customer requests for changes and improvements.
- Draft service and repair processes.
- Coordinate implementation of product design changes.
- Collect, record, and present data applicable to project status in production.
- Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Provide guidance, assistance, and mentorship to Process Engineering team members.
- Integrate lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize processes.

- Ensure output aligns with QMS procedures.
- Experience designing, assembling, and debugging automated or semi‑automated electromechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot machine control problems and perform system tests.
- Understanding of computer and machine programming and I/O logic.
- Experience with 2D CAD design of electrical assemblies, schematics, and parts (PCBA design experience highly desirable).
- Experience with SPC, Minitab, design of experiments, measurement systems analysis, variation and tolerancing, and validation efforts.
- Experience with MES;
Factory Logix preferred. - Strong software abilities: MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; MS Project experience.
- B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or equivalent combination.
- Minimum 7 years related work experience.
- Experience with PCBA including through‑hole and surface‑mount technology and PCBA test; IPC (CID) Designer Certification desired.
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma desirable.
