Northeast Residential Services (NRS) is looking for an energetic and dependable Agency Trainer to join our team!
The Agency Trainer will play an important role in welcoming new employees to NRS and supporting staff throughout the agency. This position will be responsible for leading New Employee Orientation, providing required agency trainings, and helping employees stay current with their certifications and training requirements.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people and creating a positive learning environment, but who also enjoys the organizational side of training. You’ll work closely with Human Resources, managers, and employees across the agency to coordinate trainings, maintain accurate records, and help ensure NRS remains in compliance with training requirements.
What You’ll Do- Lead New Employee Orientation and help welcome new employees to NRS.
- Provide First Aid/CPR training.
- Provide Safety-Care training.
- Coordinate and monitor College of Direct Support (CDS) training.
- Schedule and organize agency trainings.
- Opportunity to create and develop agency trainings and materials.
- Maintain employee training and certification records.
- Track upcoming certification and training expirations.
- Follow up with employees and managers regarding required training.
- Help monitor agency-wide training compliance.
- Coordinate and assist with in program trainings.
- Maintain training materials, attendance records, and documentation.
- Support the Human Resources & Training Department with additional training initiatives as needed.
- Someone who enjoys teaching and helping others learn.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups.
- Friendly, professional, and approachable.
- Dependable and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working with computer systems and databases, Therap and Paycom experience is preferred.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Previous training or human services experience is a plus.
- Willing to obtain and maintain required instructor certifications.
