Vehicle Technician

We are representing a reputable Main Car Dealer client in Grays seeking to hire a highly qualified Vehicle Technician. This position offers a comprehensive and competitive package, ideal for experienced professionals committed to delivering excellent service and technical expertise.

• Basic salary up to £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
• Performance-based bonus, with an OTE reaching £50,000
• Monday to Friday working hours from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
• One in three Saturdays, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
• In-house and off-site training programmes

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on customer vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools
• Identify and troubleshoot faults efficiently and accurately
• Communicate technical issues and repair requirements clearly to customers
• Ensure high standards of service and customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
• Assist with additional tasks related to vehicle servicing and repairs as required

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds or similar accepted)
• Valid UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
  
  Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment
• Strong customer service skills with a professional appearance
• Ability to adapt to changing workload demands and work in a fast-paced environment
• MOT Tester certification would be advantageous but is not essential
• Flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills
