A well-established, high-achieving school in Essex is seeking an experienced and passionate French and Spanish Teacher to join their Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher (QTS) who can teach both languages across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Role Overview

You will deliver engaging, high-quality language lessons that inspire students, build confidence, and develop cultural awareness. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a supportive MFL department and contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular language opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Teach French and Spanish across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE preparation

Plan, prepare, and deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons

Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

Support departmental development and curriculum planning

Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement

Promote a love of languages and cultural understanding

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience teaching French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Passionate about modern languages and student progress

Able to work collaboratively within a team
