Looking for flexible work in Secondary schools without the pressure of planning and marking?

Teacher Active are working closely with a number of Secondary schools across the Thurrock area, and we’re currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to provide consistent, high-quality classroom cover.

Cover Supervisors play a key role in schools, supporting students and maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. This role does not involve planning or preparation, but strong classroom presence and behaviour management are essential.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

CACHE Level 2/3 or at least 6 months’ experience working in a school setting

Confidence managing a classroom of students aged 11–16+

Strong behaviour management skills to keep students focused and on task

Flexibility to work across different departments and year groups
