SHEQ Coordinator

Location: COMAH Facility - River Thames
Type: Full-Time Site-Based

We are seeking an experienced L3 SHEQ Coordinator to support operations on a COMAH-regulated major hazard facility located on the River Thames. This role sits within a live industrial and marine environment and requires strong regulatory knowledge, site presence, and confident stakeholder engagement.

• Support compliance with COMAH Regulations and site Safety Report.

• Monitor Permit to Work systems and high-risk activities (confined space, hot works, lifting, marine transfers).

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioural observations.

• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are implemented.

• Support environmental compliance, including spill prevention and river interface controls.

• Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking.

• Deliver inductions and toolbox talks to workforce and contractors.

• Maintain SHEQ documentation, reporting, and compliance registers.

• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).

• Experience working on COMAH or major hazard sites.

• Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and Permit to Work systems.

• Experience with in industrial, energy, process, or storage environments.

• Confident communicator with strong reporting skills.

• Process Safety or Environmental qualification.

• Experience with marine or port operations.

• Internal auditing experience (ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001).
