Electrical Shift Engineer

Overview

Electrical Shift Engineer role at a large data centre located in Thurrock. This position is part of a 2‑person maintenance shift engineering team, operating under a continental shift pattern and reporting directly to the owners of the data centre complex.

Continental Shift Pattern (four days on, four off, four nights on, four off, three days on, three nights on, six off, repeat).

Operate the electrical systems during assigned shifts, maintain equipment, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support the escalation process. The role has opportunity to progress to Shift Leader and further advancement within the company.

Previous experience as an Electrical Shift Engineer, Building Services Maintenance Engineer, or Maintenance Shift Engineer with a Mechanical or Electrical qualification. HV training preferred. Experience in data centre operations is advantageous.
