ReEngage organises monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for isolatedolder people who live alone and find it difficult to get out and aboutthemselves. The older person is collected from their home each month by avolunteer driver and taken to a volunteer host’s home or community venue wherethey meet with a small group for tea, chat and companionship.
Our monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties are a vital lifeline for ourolder guests offering a regular friendship link and companionship. Our teaparties bring people of all ages together, develop fulfilling friendships and support networks.
The volunteer drivers usually pick up the same designated guest which means that over the months and years, acquaintances turn into friends andloneliness and isolation is replaced with companionship.
