Forensic Custody Paramedic or Nurse - PART TIME
Location:
Grays, England, United Kingdom
We are looking to redirect your career as a nurse or paramedic. We provide a dynamic and innovative pathway with opportunities for progression and extensive training.
About the roleAs a certified nurse or paramedic, you will provide healthcare to detainees in the criminal justice system. You will work in custody suites, ensuring safety and delivering care, with an expectation to work across your base suite and an assigned region.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites.
- Ensure safety of detainees with round‑the‑clock coverage.
- Work within a schedule agreed with the client and with flexibility across the Police Custody Suites and Force area.
- Fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts, 18:45 to 07:00 for night shifts.
- Team rota pattern of 2‑day shifts on, 8 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.
- Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
- Salary £41,000 per year.
- £1,000 bonus after 12 months of service.
- Estimated overtime £3,500 per annum.

- RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post qualification – Band 5 minimum.
- Paramedic: 2 years post qualification.
- Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in a patient‑facing role within a relevant field:
General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service. - Driving licence (required).
- Must have RTW in UK, lived in UK, British Passport or ILR for 3 years with no gaps out of country more than 3 months.
- All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting.
No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.
