Patient Procedure Scheduler – Outpatient Oncology (Full Time Days, Part‑time Option)

Join Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital as a Patient Procedure Scheduler. The role is a part‑time, 8‑hour shift position (0.8 FTE, 4–8 hour shifts) that supports the scheduling of surgical and pre‑operative procedures. The scheduler maintains calendars, verifies insurance, obtains pre‑certifications, provides patient education, and may cross‑train as a Patient Service Representative or Patient Liaison.

• Register and schedule patients for surgical and pre‑operative procedures.
• Inform patients of financial responsibilities.
• Provide surgical and procedural information and instructions as appropriate.
• Obtain and/or facilitate pre‑certification as required.
• Maintain calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre‑operative procedures.
• Answer all incoming patient inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of prior healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience with an electronic medical records system.
