Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of building systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. This role supports the Maintenance Supervisor and works collaboratively with other team members to maintain a clean, functional, and compliant environment.
ScheduleMonday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM or 7 AM - 3:30 PM
May need to work on Saturdays and be on call as directed by the supervisor

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics- Maintenance, Repair, and Building Projects
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions and building system issues
- Support facility projects, including construction, renovation, and workstation setup
- Assist with installation, assembly, and relocation of furniture and fixtures
- Respond promptly to assigned maintenance requests and work orders across the organization, including rental properties as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff regarding maintenance needs
- Support building inspections and routine safety walk-throughs to ensure compliance with safety standards and makes recommendations for maintenance, repairs, and improvement of building systems such as structural, roofing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor tasks.
- Ability to organize time to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority
- Ability to perform detailed work accurately and independently in compliance with time limits with minimal direction and supervision
- Ability to define problems, exercise sound judgement, and address a variety of situations
- Ability to maintain professionalism at all times
- Ability to work as a member of a team and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations required of this position
- Ability to work the allocated hours of the position and ability to work flexible hours to include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays due to adverse weather conditions, construct projects, etc.
- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force; it requires manual labor, including, but not limited to, digging, shoveling, sweeping, raking, hauling, crawling, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, and climbing.
- Work performed may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting for long periods with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls
- Work is performed both inside and outside
