American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency coverage
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if scheduled
- No on-call responsibilities
- 13-week assignment
- Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA) required
- ED Triage or Cardiac Room experience preferred
- IV certification preferred
- Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
- ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
- BSN preferred
- Must have own vehicle for this assignment
- Signed supervisory reference from within the past two years required
- Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department, current within 1 year, required
- Function independently under general guidance of the Director, following unit-specific guidelines, policies, and protocols
- Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and critical thinking skills in providing patient care
- Must maintain emotional stability in emergency settings
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through the following weekend - Personal scrubs of any color permitted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Any requested time off must be submitted and verified at the time of profile upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
- Scheduling accommodations or block scheduling requests are not accepted for this assignment
- Candidates seeking to work this assignment alongside another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
