We are hiring a
Door Technician
for Spire Integrated Solutions’ PRIMUS brand.
- Install doors into sterilizer equipment according to blueprints or diagrams
- Adjust doors for proper alignment and operation
- Surface finish and paint parts
- Assemble and adjust counterweights, pulleys, and cables
- Proactively assist in managing workload and flow to meet deadlines
- Adjust assemblies
- Follow all requirements of the PRIMUS Quality Manual
- Responsible for following PRIMUS safety requirements including use of PPE
- Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisor or engineer to eliminate assembly problems
- Assist in maintaining inventory supplies and accuracy via the Kanban system
- Facility housekeeping (5S)
1. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Dress code is casual (T-shirt and jeans. No sweats). Safety glasses and shoes are mandatory.
- Hair neatly groomed and trimmed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and the ability to work agreeably with customers, co-workers, and supervisor.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Safely use power and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out work instructions.
- Follow proper instructions and procedures.
- Operate pallet jack and/or forklift to move equipment
- Operate hoist to properly lift equipment.
- Willingness to help discover and implement ideas to improve work processes and assembly technician performance.
- Proper use of hazardous materials (cleaners, solvents, etc.).
- Understand and implement PRIMUS policies and procedures.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Use of common hand tools.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and level.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to talk and hear.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Specific vision abilities including close vision and color vision.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the day.
Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing required by the PRIMUS Associate Handbook and outside agency requirements.
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
Ability to operate a forklift (requires certification through formal training and testing).
May be required to travel to customer location for repair or adjustment of equipment
