SEND Learning Support Assistant - Great Dunmow
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Dependent on experience)

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive secondary school team in the historic town of Great Dunmow
.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in education, care, or psychology who wants to help students overcome barriers to learning in a calm and nurturing environment.
The Role- 1:1 & Small Group Support: Work closely with students with various needs, including ASD (Autism), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), or Moderate Learning Difficulties.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Help students access the lesson content by breaking down tasks into manageable steps.
- Emotional Support: Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help manage anxiety and promote positive behaviour.
- Progress Monitoring: Assist the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in tracking student milestones and updating Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable.
- Attributes: A patient, empathetic, and proactive nature is essential.
- Adaptability: The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to the changing needs of the classroom.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a plus, but relevant experience is equally valued.
- DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Competitive Pay: Earn £90 - £110 per day, paid weekly.
