BriefPosition Overview
The Outreach and Recruitment Manager leads outreach, marketing, and recruitment efforts for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, housed at Great Falls College. This position develops and maintains a strong pipeline of qualified business applicants through presentations, events, information sessions, direct outreach, and strategic partnerships to support full enrollment in three annual cohorts across a four-state region:
Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and Arizona.
This position is based in Great Falls, Montana, with periodic travel required throughout the region. The position is grant-funded, with no current end date for the grant.

General StatementThe Outreach and Recruitment Manager plays a key role in building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified small business applicants for three annual cohorts of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. This full-time position works closely with the Executive Director to develop and implement strategic marketing, outreach, and recruitment initiatives, including hosting information sessions, delivering presentations, attending events, and conducting direct outreach to business owners.
The manager also develops and strengthens partnerships with chambers of commerce, business associations, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and other organizations to expand program awareness, encourage participation, and support full cohort enrollment across the program’s service region.
- Generate and maintain a robust business applicant pipeline to meet or exceed grant-mandated enrollment goals for three cohorts annually.
- Manage the full recruitment process, from initial contact to completed application, with timely follow-up and consistent communication.
- Conduct outreach through regular phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person engagements, providing guidance and support throughout the application process.
- Track outreach activities, measure yield from events and communications, and report metrics to the Executive Director and program partners.
- Deliver personalized follow-up to ensure prospective business applicants feel informed, encouraged, and valued.
- Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Associate degree or 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn tools such as Salesforce and Zoom.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident, friendly presence.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort with problem-solving.

- Bachelor degree in related field.
- Experience in program support, event planning, or classroom management.
- Experience in using CRMs or outreach databases; training can be provided.
