As an Entry‑Level Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting licensed surveyors with field and office tasks including data collection, equipment operation, drafting, research, and project documentation.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate GPS/GNSS, total stations, and levels.
- Collect boundary, topographic, and construction survey data.
- Set stakes, clear brush, and install/maintain monuments.
- Perform manual labor including lifting equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Process field data and assist with CAD drafting (Civil 3D).
- Conduct deed/record research and perform basic calculations.
- Maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, and prepare clear field notes.
- Construction Staking

- ALTA
- Boundary
The candidate will work under the guidance of experienced Project Managers and will partner with the firm’s multidisciplinary team and clients to deliver high quality projects. The ideal candidate is someone seeking a surveying career who enjoys outdoor work, technology, and problem solving. The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
Surveying Coursework Preferred. - Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record.
- Strong math, computer, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and plans.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Experience with technical software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D etc.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
- Willingness to work extended or non‑standard hours as needed and interest in long‑term growth in the surveying profession.
