Structural Engineer/Project Manager
TD&H Engineering is seeking a full‑time Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join our team. Established in 1965, TD&H serves a diverse clientele across nine offices in Montana, Idaho, Washington, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. This position can be based out of our Great Falls or Helena, Montana offices, but will be supporting our Great Falls, MT location.

As a Structural Engineer/Project Manager, you will oversee a variety of structural engineering projects with an emphasis on buildings.
Responsibilities include:
- Structural analysis and design for commercial, industrial, and public structures
- Use of structural analysis tools such as Risa, Enercalc, and Mathcad
- Preparation of project documentation, construction drawings, and reports
- Coordination with architects, engineers, clients, and construction teams
- Field visits and construction administration support
- Mentorship and support for junior staff
- Management of project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Commercial and public facilities
- Educational buildings
- Military facilities
- Structural retrofits and renovations
The ideal candidate is technically proficient, collaborative, and self‑driven. TD&H will provide training in project management. Preferred qualifications include:
- MS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Engineering in Training (EIT) Required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred with structural design experience
- 5+ years of experience in structural analysis and design for buildings
- Proficiency with structural design software such as Risa, Enercalc, and Mathcad
- Proficiency with construction document preparation and detailing, report writing and working in excel spreadsheets
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with clients and structural drafters
- Physically Able / Willingness to travel for site visits and project coordination (5–10% of time)
