Work location negotiable within Montana Service Territory - Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula

• Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record. BS in Engineering is required.
• Experience in gas distribution operations and/or 49 CFR Part 191 and 192 compliance preferred.
• Professional Engineer's License is a plus but not required.
• Ability to obtain Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Certification.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
• Must be able to adapt to changing work requirements.
• A valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadline requirements.
• Must be organized and detail‑oriented.
• Practical working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Experience supporting and working with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (getintoenergy.org).

• Engineering design and technical expertise in gas distribution engineering preferred.
• Provide guidance to gas distribution operations through engineering reviews and technical computations.
• Develop system strategies in gas distribution for operational program efficiencies and technical competency.
• Drive continuous improvement in gas distribution code compliance through proactive strategy development and implementation.
• Produce reports and technical documentation to ensure regulatory alignment across gas operations.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Apply advanced mathematical concepts and analyze and manipulate data.
• Overnight travel as required for business up to 20% of the time.

Full‑time position.

$64,800 to $139,300 per year, depending on experience.
