Water Senior Project Manager – Great Falls, MT

AE2S is an award‑winning civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that values creativity, growth, and a rich benefits package. We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead business development and project delivery in Minnesota.
Responsibilities- Drive business development activities within Minnesota and lead the local water‑resources team.
- Perform a variety of project‑delivery roles (project management, QA/QC, and performing) related to stormwater and water‑resources engineering, including urban stormwater management, FEMA floodplain studies, and water‑supply reliability planning.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and monitoring for projects to provide extreme client service and build lasting relationships.
- Grow market and technical presence in the region by prioritizing client pursuits, building client relationships, and supporting competitive proposal pursuits.
- Serve as technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor for junior engineers within the Water Resources Practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field related to water resources with 15+ years of experience.
- Experience interfacing with clients and leading or participating in watershed master planning/drainage‑basin design plans, floodplain studies, and water‑supply planning.
- Strong understanding of project financials with a proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget while exceeding client expectations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives within multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for remote and collaborative work with clients and project team members.
- Ability to travel as required for project and business‑development responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- All applicants must complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor‑vehicle records search, etc.) as required by law.
- Experience pursuing and winning water‑resources projects through the competitive RFP/Q process.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Minnesota or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- Experience using SWMM for urban stormwater analysis and HEC‑RAS for floodplain analysis.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
- Walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain.
- Stand or sit for prolonged periods.
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight, up to 20 pounds (rarely 50 pounds).
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
- May need to wear personal protection equipment (flame‑resistant clothing, hard hat, protective footwear).
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime; may need to travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays.
