Rep, Mobile Examiner - (P/T) - Exam One/Great Falls, MT area
Open at Quest Diagnostics. Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner’s primary responsibility is to provide coverage in the field ensuring that mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. Maintain a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees, perform all aspects of an insurance exam, including specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
May also act as coach, mentor, instructor and resource person for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program.
- Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
- Collects specimens according to established procedures.
- Conduct in‑center and mobile exams: taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, EKG, and other Quest Diagnostics services.
- Completes application packets and other paperwork accurately.
- Labels, centrifuges and splits specimens as required by test order.
- Uploads cases to portal within 24 hrs on weekdays and within 48 hrs on weekends.
- Packs specimens for transport and ships to lab indicated on work orders.
- Ensures safe and timely transporting of specimens, supplies, equipment and materials.
- Maintains records of each specimen collected each day; supports Record Deletion process when directed.
- Submits original paperwork to destination.
- Provides customer service to clients.
- Follows current Examiner’s Manual and departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
- Maintains Phlebotomy logs and keeps error rate below 3%.
- Confirms exams with clients a day before appointment and updates case status.
- Corrects non‑applicant errors within 24 hours.
- Submits accurate time and travel logs, expense forms, and clocks in/out as directed.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and adheres to dress and grooming policies.
- Wears company issued badge and reports on time to work.
- Answers phone and communicates with customers, agents, applicants, coworkers and the public.
- Communicates unresolved problems immediately to manager or supervisor.
- Keeps facilities or work areas neat, reports needed repairs, and disposes of biohazard containers when scheduled.
- Assists with inventory counts, reports shortages and stocks supplies as needed.
- Provides supply orders as specified by Branch Manager.
- Performs other clerical duties, answers phone and dispatch calls when assigned.
- Participates in teams and special projects when asked.
- Assists with SOP implementation for examiner services.
- Acts as mentor and resource for new employees, distributing technical information and communications.
- Maintains flexible travel up to 25 miles and flexible work hours; maintains availability in Examview.
- Uses company iPad or specified electronic device.
- Minimum 100 documented successful blood draws required.
- Minimum one‑year phlebotomy experience; pediatric and geriatric experience is a plus.
- Prefer urine or hair follicle collection and EKG experience.
- Sitting for periods of time.
- Standing while performing work.
- Driving to and from work assignments.
- Lifting no more than 40 pounds.
- Ability to multitask.
- Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays and overtime, occasional on‑call duties.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record with access to dependable/insured transportation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office with ability to learn new software.
- Can make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licensing and CertificationsPhlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification
