The Caregiver provides direct care and daily support to adults with developmental disabilities living in group home settings. This role is vital for ensuring residents’ safety, well-being, and quality of life while promoting independence and community involvement.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Support residents with medication administration and health monitoring as directed.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Encourage and assist residents in developing independent living and social skills.
• Accompany residents to appointments, community activities, and recreational outings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Document care provided, resident progress, and any incidents or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols.
• Participate in staff meetings and required training sessions.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a group home setting preferred, but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet all state and organizational requirements.
• Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
