The Laboratory Assistant performs pre‑analytical processes associated with collection and processing of laboratory specimens. Demonstrates a commitment to client experience, quality, and safety. Applies knowledge of laboratory operations to assist clients with utilizing laboratory services. Complies with all laboratory and safety policies. A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork are essential. May be moved among laboratory locations as needed.

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy training course

• 6+ months of phlebotomy experience

• Current driver's license
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• PALS certification (preferred)

• Basic reading and writing skills
• Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to the job
• Interpersonal and communication skills required
